God gave Abraham a great victory and rescued his family in a physical battle against invading kings only to be confronted with a spiritual battle to compromise and follow the world around him. You cannot honor the "King of Righteousness" and honor the "Son of Evil" at the same time. We must choose to align ourselves with Christ or choose to align ourselves with the world. We cannot do both.
What if the biggest roadblock to our Journey of Faith were not famine and adversity but instead prosperity and good times? Why do so many call out to God when they are in trouble but lose their passion when everything's great? How does Abraham respond to the test of abundance?
Abraham experienced many obstacles to God's promises in his Journey of Faith, just as we do. How will we respond to trouble and adversity? With fear or faith? Famines don't last. God's faithfulness does.
